Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 3 years of equivalent experience
• 1 - 3 years required experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of MSHA standards and safety regulations is a plus
• Ability to identify safety hazards and recommend corrective actions

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of fire suppression pumps and perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections
• Coordinate and oversee annual fire extinguisher inspections with certified vendors
• Perform anchor point and fall protection equipment inspections
• Conduct handrail, ladders, stairway, and walkway safety inspections
• Inspect hoists, lifts, slings, and rigging equipment for wear, damage and compliance
