Sheet Metal Fabrication Shop Helper

Location: Round Rock, TX Pay: $17-$18 per hour, based on experience Schedule: 8-10-hour shifts Positions Available: 5 Interviews: Next week Start Date: September 28, 2026 Position Overview Trade Management is partnering with a leading mechanical contractor seeking five strong, dependable Fabrication Shop Helpers to support sheet metal production in its Round Rock facility. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position involving cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal. Candidates should be comfortable using hammers and other common hand tools. Previous fabrication or construction experience is preferred but not required for every position. At least one of the five workers must have chop saw experience . Key Responsibilities Assist with cutting, shaping, and preparing sheet metal Hammer and form sheet metal as directed Safely operate common hand tools Assist experienced fabricators with shop production Measure, move, stage, and organize materials Load and unload sheet metal and shop supplies Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all shop safety procedures Complete other fabrication duties as assigned Required Qualifications Physically strong and capable of performing demanding shop work Comfortable working with sheet metal Experience using hammers and basic hand tools Able to stand, bend, lift, and work on your feet for 8-10 hours Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn Able to follow instructions and work safely around fabrication equipment Must have reliable transportation to Round Rock Preferred Experience Previous sheet metal, HVAC, fabrication, manufacturing, or construction experience Experience working in a fabrication shop Familiarity with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials Specialized Opening One selected candidate must have previous experience safely operating a chop saw and understand proper cutting and material-handling procedures.
