Job Title: Tax Senior/Manager Single-Office CPA Firm

Position Summary: The prima1y role of the Tax Senior/Manager is to provide first-line support in tax preparation for corporate, partnership, individual, nonprofit, trust, and estate clients. This role requires broad technical tax knowledge, sound professional judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with Firm Partners and other accounting professionals. The position is responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality client service while adhering to professional standards of ethics, competency, and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

•Individual Tax Return Preparation (Form 1040)

•Corporate Tax Return Preparation (Forms 1120 and 1120-S)

•Partnership Tax Return Preparation (Form 1065)

•Not-for-Profit Tax Filings (Form 990)

•Trust & Gift Tax Return Preparation (Forms I 041 and 709)

•Analytical support for Business Consulting

•Research tax matters, identify issues, and communicate practical recommendations to clients and Firm Partners.

•Assist in supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of professional staff and student interns, as applicable.

•Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/ Education/ Experience:

Exceptional analytical and research skills; ability to master multiple software programs and systems; in-depth understanding of the accounting cycle; excellent organizational and administrative skills and capabilities. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 5+ years of experience in tax preparation required.

Interpersonal Skills:

Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential. The position requires professionalism and versatility when working with clients, partners, staff, interns, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. The Tax Senior / Manager must be able to collaborate effectively, manage competing priorities, provide constructive guidance, and help the team complete assignments accurately and on schedule.

Microsoft Office Suite | QuickBooks Desktop & Online | UltraTax

Flexibility:

Work schedules may vary during tax season. Flexibility is required, including evening and weekend work during peak periods. This position is 100% on-site with no remote-work arrangement.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and ten-key calculator. The employee must have access to personal transportation and be able to lift approximately 10 to 20 pounds on occasion. Most work requires close visual attention.
