About This Role The Nurse Educator - Level II (Perioperative) at NYC Health and Hospitals is responsible for implementing and evaluating nursing educational programs, conducting training, and assessing the competency of nursing staff. This role is ideal for experienced nurses with a passion for education and training in a healthcare setting. Highlights Pay: $161,254/year Location: Manhattan, NY Facility: Harlem Hospital Center Department/Unit: NURSING INSERVICE EDUCATION Schedule: Full-Time, Day What You’ll Do Coordinate nursing educational programs and activities for an assigned health care setting. Participate in planning and conducting nursing staff development programs. Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate in-service nursing orientation. Identify and collect information related to learning needs. Conduct program evaluations that measure learning impact and outcomes. Assess learners’ progress and adjust educational activities as needed. Contribute to competency assessment by monitoring nursing staff’s knowledge. Serve on nursing and health care setting committees as assigned. Instruct and provide in-service education for new products and procedures. Develop teaching and learning strategies to promote participant engagement. Requirements Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field required. Experience: Three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse, including one (1) year in nursing education and training. Licenses & Certifications: Valid New York State RN License required. Current BLS certification required. CNOR Certification preferred.
