Serves as a centralized liaison between patients, families, Genetics physicians, nursing, pharmacy, and ancillary services to ensure continuity and safety across the full episode of care.

Supports outpatient clinical care by participating in up to four half-day protocol-based genetics clinics per week (e.g., PKU), with clinic effort flexing based on gene therapy program volume and needs.

Diagnoses acute, episodic, and chronic diseases within established protocols.

Prescribes appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.

Provides patient and family education regarding genetic diagnoses, gene therapy treatment expectations, potential risks and adverse effects, and long-term monitoring requirements.
