THE JOB: As an Assistant Beverage Manager for the Lounges at Mandalay Bay , you will be responsible for overseeing key operational functions within the department while setting the stage for an exceptional guest experience with your welcoming smile and premier service. By understanding our guests' unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us, working seamlessly with your team to maintain our renowned hospitality standards. This role represents an amazing opportunity for an experienced mixologist, or a beverage professional with a strong mixology background looking to step into management, to elevate our beverage program by overseeing and developing innovative cocktail menus across all our lounge venues. THE DAY-TO-DAY: Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department Direct smooth, efficient, cost effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, scheduling and inventory control Manage delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes Provide management support in the oversight of assigned shift to ensure the delivery of quality service to the guests Coordinate the requisition process and stocking of beverage outlets to maximize revenue for the division Provide guidance and counsel to beverage employees, ensure the staff is scheduled properly Provide recommendations to management on daily operational issues THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: High School Diploma or GED required Must be 21 years of age or older Work Varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Beverage experience required 2+ Years of mixologist experience for a Lounge or similar Bar/Nightlife environment preferred Previous experience as a manager in Food and Beverage preferred Previous experience managing employees under a Collective Bargaining Agreement preferred THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more Free meals in our employee dining room Free parking on and off shift Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees) Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community #J-18808-Ljbffr MGM Resorts International
