JOB SUMMARY:

Performs basic operator maintenance and repair of a manufacturing machine (s) that produce plastic lids. Maintain equipment to ensure a high % OEE and produce quality lids at optimal speed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Record timely checks to ensure that only quality product is manufactured and enters the packing bins. Comply with all safety rules, polices, procedures and practices to include performing lock-out/tag-out of production equipment when required. Diagnose and determine cause for machine malfunctions along with making operator repairs to assigned machines. Perform “scrap bin checks”, “line checks”, and all assigned quality tests to measure the quality of the product being produced. This requires frequent inspection of the product, allowing defective finished goods to be identified by the operator. Maintains established cycle times on assigned machines to ensure production goals are met. Immediately respond to any defective lids or other finished goods that a Packer, Print Operator or Packing Tech identifies. Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times. Performs all required daily preventative maintenance to equipment including eliminating all air, steam, and water leaks. Provides timely communication to Production Lead or Supervisor when assistance is required to resolve raw material, machine, handling equipment, quality or other problems. Perform Roll Changes Plastic Extrusion Process Follows WinCup OPERA Values, safety initiatives, and other related plant standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned by WinCup leadership as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Two years in a manufacturing environment tending a production machine preferred. Mechanical aptitude, write and speak English. Ability to follow directives with MTS leadership, supervisors, in ensuring productivity and target levels are sustained. Ensures all company policies and procedures including manufacturing and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times. Collaboration with plant and safety leadership. Ability to complete mandated new manufacturing training on equipment to maximize output efficiencies. Supports all current and new product introductions.

Team Member may be required to talk, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch. WORK ENVIRONMENT (Manufacturing Plant): The characteristics listed below are representative of the work environment typically encountered by an individual while performing the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants. Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so these work environment details may not always apply, they should still be noted. Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts. Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air conditioned. Work environment contains loud noises and odors that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles. Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times. Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated. Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as designated.
