Join a collaborative team, expand your critical care experience across multiple ICUs, and support high-acuity patient care in one of the nation’s most connected healthcare markets.Job Details\n \n Specialty: ICU / Critical Care Float Pool\n Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n Location: Washington, DC 20010\n Duration: 13 weeks\n Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,860\n Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts\n Schedule: Approximately 3 shifts per week; day and night rotations available\n Hours Per Week: 36\n Weekend Coverage: Required\n Start Date: October 12, 2026\n Unit Focus: MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC, and ICU/IMC boarders\n Job Requirements\n \n Active Registered Nurse license for the District of Columbia at time of submission\n Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or critical care experience within the last 7 years\n At least 1 previous travel nurse assignment required\n ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n Flu vaccination required with no exemptions\n Experience with Cerner preferred\n Strong teamwork, adaptability, and excellent alarm management skills\n Comfortable floating across multiple ICU and IMC areas\n Ability to provide 2 supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment\n Responsibilities\n \n Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to critically ill patients\n Support overflow and boarder management across various ICU and IMC units\n Monitor hemodynamic status, dysrhythmias, ventilated patients, and complex critical care conditions\n Administer medications and manage IV therapies, drips, and advanced monitoring equipment\n Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care\n Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and prioritize care in a high-acuity environment\n Maintain strong documentation and communication practices throughout the shift\n Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and reliable attendance throughout the assignment\n \n Apply now to take the next step in your critical care nursing career with this ICU RN travel job in Washington, DC.
