Registrar - Voorhees - PT (1st Shift)

Schedule Every other Monday and every other Friday 11am-7pm and every Saturday 8am-12pm. All Registrar positions require availability to complete 3‑weeks of dayshift orientation before moving to the schedule that you are hired into (3-days per week for the first 3 weeks). This schedule may vary and is created by the hiring manager at the location that you are hired into. Overview Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system. Responsibilities Obtains copies of patient insurance cards and identification and enters demographic, financial, insurance, and clinical information into computer system; verifies completeness and accuracy of all data. Obtains signatures on all required documents for consent, medical necessity, and on required State, Federal and regulatory documentation; processes all necessary paperwork. Collects and processes co‑pays, deductibles, co‑insurance and deposit amounts; may facilitate resolution of billing issues by liaising with patient accounting, patient and insurance representatives. Verifies benefits and obtains required authorizations. Identifies and provides appropriate referrals and payment options to patients needing financial assistance. Provides additional office support including telephones, scheduling, typing, filing, etc. Qualifications 1 year customer service in a professional setting (excludes retail/food service) preferred; medical office or admittance experience preferred. Must demonstrate a positive demeanor, have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks. Must have basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills. Education High School diploma. Training / Certification / Licensure One year of Epic system experience highly preferred. Salary $18.69 - $26.01 hourly.
