Delivery Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $16.90 - $24.90 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance or premiums. Premiums are determined per hour in specific circumstances and may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Job Responsibilities Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean and maintained, and conduct daily inspections prior to operation. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slip. Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day's business. Clock in/out according to company policy. Assist with customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, and other duties as assigned. Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system. Possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements. Familiar with automotive parts (desired). Ability to operate other light store equipment (desired). Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Total Compensation Package Competitive wages & paid time off.
