DISASTER RELIEF CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (ENGLISH & SPANISH BILINGUAL)

Phoenix, AZ | 100% Remote – Local Candidates Only | Seasonal Assignment

CornerStone Staffing is hiring Disaster Relief Customer Service Representatives who can provide calm, compassionate support in both English and Spanish. You'll help individuals and families affected by natural disasters understand assistance programs, complete registrations, and access important recovery resources.

This is more than a traditional customer service position. It's an opportunity to turn your communication skills into meaningful support for people when they need it most—all while working remotely from the Phoenix area.

LOCATION - Phoenix, AZ & surrounding areas – 100% Remote
Applicants must reside in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

 

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $17.00 to $23.28 /hour based on experience and Wellness pay

• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week – Must be flexible to work all shifts
• Seasonal assignment lasting approximately 3–4 months
• Paid training lasting approximately 8–10 days, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM EST
• Flexible shifts based on 24/7 operations, including possible evenings, weekends, and holidays and schedules may change week to week
• Benefits include paid sick time (1 hour per 30 hours worked), paid government holidays, and minimum essential coverage insurance

 

ROLE IMPACT
You'll be a trusted first point of contact for disaster survivors navigating assistance programs and recovery resources. Your ability to listen, explain information clearly in English and Spanish, and document details accurately will help callers move forward during stressful and uncertain situations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answer inbound calls from individuals and families seeking disaster relief, housing assistance, and recovery resources.
• Guide callers through assistance registration, identity verification, and program-related questions in English and/or Spanish.
• Enter and maintain accurate case information while protecting confidential and personally identifiable information (PII).
• Provide patient, empathetic service to callers experiencing stressful or emotional circumstances.
• Follow established procedures, call scripts, security requirements, and quality standards while meeting performance expectations.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS — MUST HAVES
• Spanish Bilingual a major plus, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
• High school diploma or GED, previous customer service experience, and strong computer skills, including navigating multiple applications.
• Must be at least 18 years old, be a U.S. citizen, reside in the Phoenix area, and be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation, including credit/financial screening and applicable federal security checks.
