Engineer the software behind tomorrow's mission. NS2 Mission is seeking an expert Software Developer to join our team in Chantilly, VA . As part of an Agile development team, you'll design, build, and enhance enterprise software solutions that support mission-critical operations across the Intelligence Community. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern Java applications, scalable backend services, and complex system integrations while collaborating with a team of engineers focused on delivering reliable, high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise Java applications supporting mission-critical capabilities.
• Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that enable communication across distributed systems.
• Design efficient database solutions and optimize SQL queries for application performance.
• Support the development of modern web applications using JavaScript and Angular.
• Collaborate with architects, software engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Analyze and resolve software defects while improving application performance and reliability.
• Participate in architecture discussions, peer code reviews, and technical planning sessions.
• Contribute to continuous integration, testing, deployment, and long-term sustainment activities.
• Promote modern software engineering practices and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience developing enterprise software applications using Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful web services.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular.
• Experience developing software within Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with Git, version control, testing methodologies, and Agile software development.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing microservices-based architectures.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Experience with Maven, Gradle, or similar Java build tools.

Position Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI with an FSP
