About the Role

The Company is in search of a Freelance VP, Account Director with a strong background in healthcare, medical, or pharmaceutical advertising. The successful candidate will be responsible for executive client partnership, portfolio and business leadership, omnichannel and campaign mastery, regulatory and MLR fluency, and cross-disciplinary team orchestration. This role demands a visionary and results-driven leader who can command a room, guide high-profile brand portfolios, and steer complex, multi-channel DTC and HCP initiatives from strategy through execution. The VP, Account Director will be the strategic lead and trusted counselor for major pharmaceutical brand teams, ensuring long-term relationships with senior marketing executives, product directors, and medical leads. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive account leadership experience, with a mandatory background in dedicated healthcare, medical, or pharmaceutical advertising agencies. The role requires proven expertise in managing major DTC and HCP pharmaceutical accounts, deep mastery of pharmaceutical regulatory standards, and the ability to lead high-stakes client presentations. The ideal candidate will also have exceptional executive presence, outstanding communication and negotiation skills, and a demonstrated ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams. Experience in overseeing high-value television or broadcast production campaigns within the pharma/healthcare space is a strong plus.
