Location: In-Office
Firm Size: Small to Mid-Size Public Accounting Firm

We are seeking an experienced Accountant who possesses strong technical accounting skills, practical business knowledge, and the ability to research and solve complex problems independently. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on organization, and can confidently take ownership of client engagements from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Demonstrated accounting experience in public accounting, private industry, or a combination of both.
• Strong ability to research accounting issues and develop practical solutions.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• Knowledge of business cycles, business formations, bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and financial reporting.
• Experience organizing and cleaning up incomplete, disorganized, or problematic accounting records.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review bookkeeping, financial statements, and other accounting reports.
• Research accounting and reporting issues and recommend solutions.
• Assist clients with accounting system setup, cleanup, and process improvements.
• Analyze accounting records, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting matters and business operations.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with team members and provide assistance and guidance when needed.
• Meet with prospective and existing clients, answer phone calls, and represent the firm professionally.
