As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool, you will work with diverse populations of patients in numerous units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers. This position is fast-paced and constantly changing, so adaptability and flexibility are important. Still, you will find a solid, united culture, where caregivers continuously encourage each other to be their best and provide unparallel patient care. Every day, you will be celebrated for all you bring to Cleveland Clinic as an RN. 

A caregiver in this position works PT evenings from 3:00PM – 11:30PM. No weekends. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide direct nursing care. 
\n

\n
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.  
\n

\n
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.  
\n

\n
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. 
\n

\n
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.  
\n

\n
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. 
\n

\n
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study. 
\n

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

\n
• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) 
\n

\n
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) 
\n

\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross 
\n

\n
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience 
\n

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

\n
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) 
\n

Physical Requirements:

\n
• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
\n
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
\n
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
\n
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
\n
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
\n
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
\n
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
\n

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
\n

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
