Travel Nurse RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Monroe, LA

Job Title
Registered Nurse – NICU
Location Monroe, LA | NICU / Newborn Nursery
Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Expected (2–4 shifts per 4-week schedule)
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care across both the NICU and Newborn Nursery settings
Attend high-risk deliveries as required by unit needs
Conduct car seat testing and manage all newborn diagnoses for NICU and Well-Baby patients
Float occasionally to postpartum and pediatrics based on unit needs
Participate in holiday coverage rotation — candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
In the event of an emergency, may be assigned to an emergency response team and expected to remain at the facility or serve as part of a relief team until the event has passed; specific pay details will be communicated per event
Required Qualifications

Active RN license — Compact or Louisiana license required in hand at time of submittal
BLS, NRP, and CPI certifications required

(AHA certifications required; CPI must be obtained prior to start if not already held)
Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU specialty
Epic EMR experience required
NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and current within 4 weeks of submission date
Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience working in a combined NICU and Newborn Nursery environment
Familiarity with Well-Baby care and high-risk delivery attendance
