Registered Nurse (RN) | Ear Nose Throat Head and Neck Oncology Clinic

Location & Shift Avera Ear, Nose & Throat, Sioux Falls. Regular work shift: Day Shift (United States of America). Pay Range & Sign‑On Bonus Pay: $27.75 – $41.25 per hour. May be eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus. Position Highlights Head and Neck Cancer clinic working with Dr. Spanos and Head and Neck Navigators. Eligible for Registered Nurse (RN) Student Loan Repayment Program: $167 monthly up to $10,000. Overview Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and families. Communicates with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care. What you will do Perform general nursing care to patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic. Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing. Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider. Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations; maintain timely flow of patients. Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination; screen patients for appropriate information, including obtaining health history, taking vitals, and conducting nursing assessment. Document information in patient chart. Instruct patient in collection of samples and tests. Respond to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician. Educate patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness. Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints. Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials; ensure cleanliness. Prepare list of medical supplies needed. Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol as needed. Perform quality control and maintain records on all lab testing. Essential Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Board of Nursing license in the state of practice. Ability to work selected hours. Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties; ability to communicate effectively. Ability to comprehend and distinguish speech and other sounds.
