Oral Surgery Dental AssistantPeak Dental Implants & Oral Surgery is opening a brand-new, purpose-built oral surgery practice in Windsor, Connecticut, led by an established oral and maxillofacial surgeon. We are seeking an experienced Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our founding clinical team and support both surgical care and overall patient experience.This role is ideal for a confident oral surgery assistant who is comfortable supporting IV sedation cases, maintaining high clinical standards, and stepping in to assist with front office and patient-facing responsibilities as needed in a collaborative, team-oriented practice.What You'll DoAssist the surgeon during surgical procedures, including IV sedation casesPerform preoperative and postoperative duties to support safe, high-quality patient careMaintain aseptic technique and ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocolsPrepare and maintain an organized, unobstructed operative field using surgical instrumentation, suction, and irrigationAnticipate surgeon needs and ensure required instruments, equipment, and supplies are availableMonitor patients intraoperatively and support post-operative recovery workflowsObtain dental radiographs and imaging as requiredComplete accurate clinical documentation and patient narrativesSupport treatment coordination by reinforcing treatment plans and post-operative instructions with patientsAssist with answering phones, checking patients in and out, and supporting front office flow as neededMaintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and practice policiesCollaborate with clinical and administrative team members to ensure smooth daily operationsWhat You BringPrior hands-on oral surgery assisting experience, including IV sedation cases is a plusAbility to work efficiently and confidently in a fast-paced surgical environment with minimal ramp-upBLS certification (required)ICE certification (required)Radiology certification (DANB RHS or equivalent) requiredDAANCE certification strongly preferredStrong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization, and infection control standardsExcellent patient care skills with a calm, professional demeanorStrong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to anticipate surgeon needsReliable, adaptable, and team-oriented with a willingness to support across clinical and front office functionsWhat We OfferCompetitive pay, bonus potential, and annual merit reviewsMedical, dental, vision, life insuranceHealth savings account (HSA) with high-deductible health plans (HDHP)Paid time off (PTO), sick time, paid holidays, paid parental leaveShort- and long-term disability401(k) plan with company matchEmployee assistance program (EAP)We are an equal opportunity employer.
