Staff Accountant

Location: Alexandria, MN

Compensation: $22.00- $28.00 per hour | paid weekly

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Staff Accountants for a manufacturing company in Alexandria, MN. In this role, you'll maintain accurate financial records, support reporting and analysis, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. What You'll Do as a Staff Accountant:

• Process accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments
• Monitor accounts receivable, apply cash, and assist with collections
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare financial reports and analysis
• Ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations, including filings and documentation
• Track and manage fixed assets, including reporting and physical inventory
• Support payroll processing and timecard administration
• Recommend and implement process improvements within accounting operations

What You Need to Bring to the Staff Accountant Role:

• Associate degree in accounting OR 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Knowledge of general ledger practices and GAAP principles
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software systems
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a team environment
