Retail Team Manager | Swedish Match (PMI U.S.) Help build a smoke-free future. Swedish Match, a Philip Morris International (PMI) affiliate and maker of ZYN nicotine pouches, is seeking a Retail Team Manager to lead sales and execution activities within an assigned territory. This player-coach role combines team leadership with direct account management, driving retail sales, distribution, merchandising, promotional execution, and customer growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve regional business objectives.
• Manage assigned retail and wholesale accounts while executing strategic business plans.
• Drive product distribution, merchandising excellence, promotional execution, and product freshness standards.
• Analyze market, sales, and customer data to identify growth opportunities and develop action plans.
• Ensure effective routing, call coverage, and execution across the territory.
• Monitor business performance, communicate goals, and implement corrective strategies when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development and Strategic/Key Account Managers.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and development planning for team members.
• Maintain accurate reporting of retail and account metrics.
• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in retail sales, wholesale grocery, route sales, or related fields.
• Proven leadership, coaching, planning, organizational, and team management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical abilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Salesforce, syndicated data, and sales analytics tools.
• Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation

Annual base salary: $90,000 - $120,000
