About the Role

As a Senior Data Analyst , you will help enable data-driven decision-making across the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) by transforming complex business needs into scalable, reliable, and reusable data solutions.

You will partner with business, technology, and data governance teams to define data requirements, analyze data relationships, improve data quality, and support enterprise data management initiatives. You'll work across multiple workstreams and help shape how data is sourced, governed, documented, and used across key business functions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, self-directed, comfortable working through ambiguity, and able to translate business challenges into clear data and technical requirements.

What You'll Do

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives and translate business needs into clear, actionable data requirements.
• Gather, document, and refine requirements for new and existing data use cases.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify relationships, trends, data quality concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design scalable logical data models and data-element relationships with an emphasis on accuracy, usability, and performance .
• Develop requirements for data sourcing, transformation logic, and data integrity monitoring.
• Use Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to query, analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, profiling, and transformation using tools such as Alteryx and SQL.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of data quality issues and recommend solutions.
• Support database enhancements and contribute to logical data design and data relationship solutions.
• Create and maintain data management documentation, including data lineage, metadata, data-sharing agreements, source-to-target requirements, and database specifications .
• Assess upstream system-of-record changes, determine potential downstream data impacts, and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with technology and data governance teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise data standards, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Manage multiple priorities independently while communicating risks, dependencies, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in data analytics, data management, business intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military service, or education.
• Strong proficiency with MSSQL and SQL , including the ability to write, read, troubleshoot, and optimize queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
• Experience performing data analysis, cleansing, profiling, validation, and transformation .
• Experience with SSMS and data analysis or transformation tools such as Alteryx .
• Experience documenting data sourcing requirements, transformation logic, database structures, tables, columns, and data relationships.
• Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and data governance practices.
• Experience performing root-cause analysis to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Ability to translate business requirements into detailed data and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud data technologies , particularly BigQuery and Dataplex .
• Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and scheduled jobs.
• Experience working within Agile development or delivery environments.
• Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data management, data governance, or data enablement initiatives.
• Experience designing reusable data models or establishing relationships across multiple enterprise data sources.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office . The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with an eight-hour workday.

Contract Duration

This is a 12-month contract assignment with the potential to extend for up to 24 months , based on business needs and performance.
