Social Worker/Social Services Specialist

Physician - Primary Care / HIV Medicine

We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to a diverse patient population, including individuals living with or at risk for HIV. This position combines primary care with HIV prevention, diagnosis, and long-term management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HIV medicine, including the management of complex cases, and a commitment to culturally competent, non-judgmental, patient-centered care.

The physician will work within an integrated healthcare team that includes medical providers, nurses, medical assistants, case managers, behavioral health professionals, specialists, and other support staff.

Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care and preventive services.
• Manage HIV, including complex cases and opportunistic infections.
• Provide PrEP/PEP and STI screening.
• Collaborate with an integrated multidisciplinary care team.
• Provide outpatient, patient-centered care and timely documentation.
• Participate in shared after-hours call (approximately 2-3 weeks/year).

Qualifications:

MD/DO with completed Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required.

2-3+ years of HIV medicine experience required.

Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license.

Louisiana DEA registration and BLS certification required.
