Within our Corian operations, we are seeking a high-impact Automation & Process Control Leader to shape and optimize the digital and control backbone of our manufacturing systems.This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own and elevate our Manufacturing Operations Management systems—driving safety, reliability, and performance across a complex, high-hazard chemical manufacturing environment.If you are passionate about automation excellence, technical leadership, and continuous improvement, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact.Why This Role MattersYou will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing systems operate safely, reliably, and at peak performance—directly impacting productivity, product quality, and operational excellence. You’ll also lead the evolution of our automation landscape, ensuring long-term system sustainability and modernization.What You’ll DoOwn critical control systems: Ensure Corian Manufacturing Operations Management systems (DCS, PLC, MES) operate with high safety, reliability, and data integrityChampion safety & compliance: Ensure all control systems meet DuPont standards, including PSM and cybersecurity requirementsDrive automation strategy: Lead automation improvement initiatives aligned with site safety, quality, and productivity goalsLead capital & lifecycle planning: Define and execute long-term strategies to manage control system hardware and software obsolescenceDeliver impactful projects: Lead and support automation and controls scope for capital projects, including control narratives and executionStrengthen operational excellence: Support plant operations through advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solvingLead and develop talent: Manage and mentor a team of Automation & Process Control professionals, building capability and engagementCollaborate cross-functionally: Partner with operations, maintenance, IT, and engineering teams to deliver sustainable resultsWhat You BringTechnical ExpertiseStrong experience with Rockwell PlantPAx, FactoryTalk View, AspenTech IP.21, and PCN hardware, including programming capabilityExperience with GE Proficy MES systemsDeep understanding of process control in chemical manufacturing environmentsProven experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and alarm management standardsDemonstrated ability to develop control narratives and lead automation scope on capital projectsLeadership & ImpactExperience leading teams and developing talent in a manufacturing or engineering environmentData-driven decision maker with a bias for action and ownershipStrong problem solver who can navigate complex, ambiguous technical challengesProven commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellenceAbility to coach, mentor, and elevate team performanceRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)10+ years of experience in a PSM-regulated chemical manufacturing environment with focus on automation and process controls.What Sets This Role ApartHigh-impact leadership: Direct influence on plant safety, reliability, and performanceStrategic + hands-on scope: Own both day-to-day operations and long-term automation strategyWork on critical systems: Lead systems that are essential to safe, efficient manufacturingTalent development opportunity: Build and mentor a high-performing automation teamVisibility & collaboration: Partner across functions and leadership to drive site performanceReady to Make an Impact?If you’re a technical leader who thrives in complex manufacturing environments and is passionate about automation excellence, we’d love to connect.#LI-JS1Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us!DuPont is an equal opportunity employer.
