Credit Specialist - REMOTE

The Rental Credit Specialist will perform a variety of functions required to analyze the credit worthiness and risk to Ryder's Rental, National Rental and Freight Management Group (FMG) customers.

Provides value-added analysis, recommendations and process improvements to the business. Individual will provide credit and business recommendations to local management to support sales revenue growth while mitigating risk. This position handles all Rental, National Rental and FMG product lines.

Works with Rental, National Rental, and FMG sales group on credit requests on new customers and increased credit lines for existing customers.

Assist Lease analyst in initial review of lease assignments handling preliminary credit review for assignee/assignor and obtaining Ryder documentation including TLSA, nfusion information and Ryder history.

Reviews credit reports, Ryder and company history, and financial statements.

Performs review on customer to determine any deterioration of their credit worthiness and re-evaluate the desired exposure, determining the proper credit line as well as an action plan to reduce our rentals if needed.

Communicates to stop loss, collections, sales and operations on problem or high risk accounts by e-mail or conference calls to advise of potential loss.

Verify all critical documentation & security is received from customer (ACH amendment, cash deposits, ILOC's, guarantees, etc.)

Assist daily with Credit Hold Mailbox reviewing emails to make sure proper information is given.

Assist with Ad hoc tasks required within the department.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or 3 years equivalent business work experience.

Two (2) years or more experience in commercial credit.

Two (2) years or more experience in financial statement analysis preferred.

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to complete spreads, analyzing trends and assessing credit risks.

Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills. Manage work queues, e-mails, and calls from multiple sources (Sales, customers, collections, etc.)

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Communicate effectively with customers & Sales.

Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors). Maintain professional demeanor in potentially high stress environment.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Work independently to render responsible credit decisions.

Ability to assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives, gather more information if necessary, and identify key issues that need to be addressed. Creative ability to structure deals, minimizing risk and growing sales.

Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills. Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access); intermediate level.

Work with Credit software that include credit scoring systems such as Cortera or Equifax; intermediate level.

1-10% travel.

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type: Salaried

Minimum Pay Range: $55,000.00

Maximum Pay Range: $65,000.00
