Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education by providing essential occupational therapy services in a nurturing school environment. This part-time opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year allows you to apply your skills and support students during their most formative years. Choose between a .4 or .6 FTE schedule—two or three days per week—to fit your flexibility needs and ensure a harmonious work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
- Active certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience in early childhood and/or special education settings is highly valued
- Ability to travel within the Winnetka Preschool Consortium
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, educators, and staff
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive functioning needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to promote student success in a school setting
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, special educators, and administrators—to ensure cohesive service delivery
- Maintain thorough, compliant documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress
- Provide guidance and resources to preschool staff and families to facilitate ongoing support and generalization of skills
- Support transition planning and team meetings as needed
