Serving in the Early Childhood setting within a supportive consortium, you’ll deepen your skills by collaborating with varied special education professionals and school leaders, broadening your approach and learning innovative practices that enhance your résumé. Qualifications:
- Active certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- State licensure (or willingness to obtain) for school-based therapy in Illinois
- Previous experience in early childhood and/or special education (preferred)
- Ability to travel between consortium locations within the region
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and individualized intervention for preschool-aged students
- Support students’ strengths and needs related to sensory, motor, and adaptive functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to tailor classroom support
- Maintain documentation and student progress reports per district and legal requirements
- Consult on strategies for inclusive practice and participation
- Commit to either a 2-day (.4 FTE) or 3-day (.6 FTE) schedule during the 2026-2027 school year
