Responsibilities Human Resources Assistant, I Provides assigned University campus departments with support fortheir human resources needs. This includes a high volume of basictechnical support and issue resolution, working extensively withPeopleAdmin (applicant tracking system), PeopleSoft (HR informationsystem), and MS Outlook (e-mail). Support is primarily related tojob postings, I-9s, electronic personnel update forms, and hiringprocesses. This position functions under broad supervision and exerciseslatitude to make decisions regarding day-to-day operations inresolving sensitive and confidential issues professionally. Dailyactivities include: Reviews, approves, and processes department hiring-relatedrequests. Collaborates with co-workers daily in responding to customerneeds. Assists departments in compliance with internal policies andFederal/State laws related to employment. Reviews and edits job postings. May participate in the delivery of training. Participates in team projects as needed. Minimum Qualifications EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher educationcan be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience(Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related workexperience). Department may hire employee at one of the following joblevels: HR Assistant, I: Requires a bachelor's (orequivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or amaster's degree.
