As a Senior Risk Associate in Capital One’s EDRM team you will apply your analytical, data management, and process management skills to support development and adoption of the Data Management Strategy. You will collaborate with your EDRM team and partner with stakeholders across the enterprise on initiatives to help drive transformation and change necessary to achieve the Data Management strategic objectives and reduce our data risk. Risk professionals in EDRM are highly motivated; have excellent organization, problem-solving, influence and communication skills. These individuals will have the opportunity to make sure Capital One has strong data management controls and practices and collaborate with other EDRM associates to make sure the appropriate data management processes and controls are implemented. Responsibilities Test and validate data management controls, systems, and processes within the lines of business across Capital One Analyze data and influence others to proactively identify data risks and trends Work with other partners in EDM to assess data risk and communicate gaps and issues to the lines of business Positively influence Capital One’s data management maturity journey by providing recommendations on data management controls and best practices Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance our data management practices, processes and controls, and validations Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or military experience At least 1 year of experience in data governance, data analytics, systems development, systems testing, or data risk management At least 1 year of experience working with data risk and data management controls Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or Data Analytics 2+ year of experience in technology audit or risk management 2+ years of experience with testing or reviewing system development methodologies and Agile practices 1+ year of experience working with AWS or cloud technologies 1+ year of experience with reviewing code 1+ year of experience working with Python or SQL At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Salary Information McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Risk Associate Plano, TX: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Risk Associate Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Risk Associate Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
