Job purpose

The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations in a build-to-print, low-volume, high-mix aerospace and commercial component manufacturing environment. This role ensures the safe, high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective production of complex cast and machined components that meet stringent customer specifications, regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, FAA, NADCAP), and internal standards.

The supervisor leads a team of assigned departments, driving performance across SQDCP metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People. Emphasis is on lean manufacturing principles, safety always, quality production to customer specifications, continuous improvement, flexibility for varied custom jobs, and maintaining tight tolerances and traceability (where required) critical to aviation parts.

Duties and responsibilities

Safety (S)

• Champion a zero-incident culture; conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and daily/weekly safety briefings.

Quality (Q)

• Oversee production to meet build-to-print specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards for assigned areas.

Delivery (D)

• Manage production in area assigned through prioritization of work schedule, allocate resources, and adjust for changing customer .

Cost (C) & Productivity (P)

• Control labor, material, and scrap costs; track and reduce variances while improving efficiency.

Operations & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance on process improvements, new product introductions, and build-to-print manufacturability feedback.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience, 3+ years, in a manufacturing environment, depending on areas of responsibility (stator/motor assembly leadership experience).
• Higher education in Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical discipline preferred.
• Experience in lean manufacturing environment/tools is desired.
• Experience operating within AS9100 (preferred) or ISO9001 systems.
• Strong computer skills including high proficiency with MS TEAMS/Office: Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Syteline ERP and ADP preferred.

Working conditions

• May be exposed to industrial oils, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive and other chemicals. NOTE: All safety precautions will be used.
• Could work in non-AC and AC manufacturing environments.

Physical requirements

• Could require intermittent and long periods of sitting and/or standing.
• Periodic lifting of materials and files not to exceed 50 pounds.

Direct reports

• Appropriate shift Assembly hourly team members.
