Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) float position is available in Centennial, Colorado. The role involves providing patient care within a combination of ICU units, including Medical ICU (MICU), Surgical ICU (SICU), Trauma ICU (TICU), and Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). This position requires candidates to have prior ICU experience and EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certifications; at least 2 years of ICU experience; EPIC EMR experience; Colorado RN license required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience preferred; for first-time travelers, a minimum of 3+ years of ICU experience is required and EPIC proficiency.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips, including pressesors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, and more; capable of reading and interpreting telemonitor strips.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within Zone 1, covering facilities around Colorado Springs, CO.
• Location: Centennial, CO. The successful candidate will float between multiple facilities within the specified zone, including Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More.
• Schedule: 7-7 nights, 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule; schedule is made out by leadership for 6 weeks at a time; flexibility required.
• Additional Information: Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation; may be asked to participate in holiday rotations; no home facility base; float assignments vary and will be communicated on or before the start date.
• Other: No monitor techs; RNs are expected to read and interpret their own telemetry strips; no charge nurse assignment unless necessary.
