Position Details Working Title: Service Desk Supervisor Classification: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPERVISOR II Salary range: $8,504.00 - $11,395.00 Number of Positions: 1 Work Location: Sacramento County Telework: Hybrid Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Responsibilities Reports directly to the IT Manager I. Provides high‑level technical support to users utilizing California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Information Technology (IT) equipment in coordination with the Service Desk. Provides planning, project‑management oversight, resource management, performance review, and technical direction. Works closely with program staff to support complex/high‑level IT needs, including new IT projects, maintenance of existing systems, and remediation of technical problems. Qualifications Applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications with the application. The Statement must be typed, single‑spaced, no more than two pages, 12‑point Arial, and address the following: Provide an example of a Service Desk process you improved or implemented, and describe the outcome. Describe how you assess team skill levels and develop staff through coaching, training plans, and performance feedback. Submission of a Statement of Qualifications is required; applications lacking an SOQ may be disqualified. Special Requirements Position requires clearance of a Background Investigation prior to hiring. Position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.
