Maintenance technician

We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and facility systems. In this role, you will handle advanced technical maintenance activities, help streamline maintenance procedures, and collaborate with management and production staff to reduce downtime, uphold safety standards, and keep facility equipment operating reliably and efficiently.

salary: $62,400 - $74,879.87 per year
shift: Second
work hours: 3:30 PM - 2 AM

Responsibilities

• Strictly adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and internal company safety policies at all times.
• Execute advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance on packaging machinery and electrical panels.
• Complete all scheduled preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Track and maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, project work, and spare parts usage.
• Ensure daily proper startup and shutdown of facility equipment.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair electronics, mechanical conveyors, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment by observing and listening to mechanical components in operation to diagnose and fix issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical conveyor systems.
• Partner with management to develop and refine procedures that boost equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
• Keep detailed written logs of all machine adjustments.
• Provide daily hands-on guidance to Machine Operators and Mechanics on equipment operation and technical issues.
• Perform additional maintenance tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 10 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
