We're looking for an experienced Rooftop Bartender who brings more than technical expertise behind the bar; they bring personality, passion, and a genuine love for hospitality. In this role, you'll craft exceptional cocktails, recommend wines and spirits with confidence, and create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Whether you're serving a signature cocktail during a bustling dinner service or engaging with guests to curate the perfect drink pairing, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, luxury environment where attention to detail and genuine hospitality make all the difference. Responsibilities Craft and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages to the highest standards, following established recipes and presentation guidelines. Deliver exceptional guest service by providing knowledgeable beverage recommendations, wine pairings, and detailed descriptions of spirits, vintages, and tasting notes. Maintain speed, accuracy, and quality during high-volume service while managing multiple drink orders and supporting seamless front-of-house operations. Accurately process orders through the POS system, handle cash and payments responsibly, and complete opening and closing bar procedures. Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked by maintaining inventory levels, completing daily setup, and restocking throughout and after each shift. Adhere to all responsible alcohol service practices, including verifying identification and complying with all applicable laws and company policies. Collaborate with leadership on seasonal cocktail features, beverage menu enhancements, and team training initiatives as needed. Qualifications Education/Formal Training Some College Experience Minimum 2–3 years’ experience bartending in fine‑dining or upscale, high‑volume hospitality environments. Knowledge/Skills Toast POS, TIPS Certified, ServSafe Certified Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Pushing carts, Queen Marys, hotbox, portable bar 50 -100 lbs. Carrying trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. 20 -40 lbs. Bending/kneeling -ability to bend to lower level cabinets and lift trays. Mobility -maneuver in narrow areas and between seated guests. Continuous standing required to service guest functions; 100% of the time scheduled. Climbing approximately 12 steps 20% of 8 hours. No driving required. Must be able to ruse records and all special requests. Must be able to perform multiple tasks at one time, must be able to follow verbal and written instruction in English, and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks. Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations. Ability to accurately count cash. Ability to operate cash register.
