Assistant Manager - Moe’s Southwest Grill Location: North Sarasota Job Description Position Status: Full Time Summary: The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of Moe’s Southwest Grill. The role ensures that the restaurant team creates quality food and provides quality guest service in a fun, fast‑paced environment. It involves ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards, leading people and managing finances to achieve a return on investment. Essential Functions Interview team members for restaurant operations and ensure proper training for preparing, cooking, packaging, and serving food promptly. Maintain food quality, service standards, and safety compliance. Manage food flow, ordering, receiving, storing, and servicing to ensure high quality products, proper portioning, and low waste. Deploy schedules and position employees, coaching the team on operational standards and taking corrective action when necessary. Maximize profitability by controlling cost of sales, labor, payroll, and other controllable costs. Adhere to operational systems and procedures and produce accurate financial reports on a daily, weekly, and periodic basis. Create a fun, fast‑paced atmosphere for team members and guests, greeting guests with a consistent welcome message and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction in quality, service, and cleanliness. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, and uphold security procedures to protect guests, employees, and assets. Promote guest and employee safety to reduce injury or accidents. Maintain a professional image by adhering to punctuality, cleanliness, uniform, and appearance standards. Consistently demonstrate company values and perform all other tasks as directed by leadership, representing Moe’s and Quality Fresca, LLC professionally. Perform other duties as assigned. Education And Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in restaurant operations. Must be ServSafe certified. One year of restaurant management experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Quality restaurant operations knowledge. Financial acumen. Physical And Cognitive Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee must communicate clearly, move, and remain in a stationary position regularly. The employee must occasionally transport or move up to 50 pounds and must be able to detect, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, inspect, estimate, observe, and assess items, information, or objects in an office or restaurant environment.
