Step into a day running the flow of our plant

When you arrive, you’ll check your lift, sync the on-board computer, and get the floor moving. You’ll navigate production lanes and shipping docks, shifting pallets, corrugated sheets, and finished goods exactly where they need to go. By coordinating with other operators and supervisors, you’ll keep trailers loaded and lines supplied so production never misses a beat.

What you’ll do

• Follow all safety rules and regulations without exception.
• Load trailers efficiently and securely to meet shipping/receiving schedules.
• Operate the lift truck by controlling levers and pedals to maneuver and position the lifting apparatus.
• Place forks or platforms under pallets, skids, boxes, corrugated sheets, products, and other materials; transport loads to designated locations.
• Work in sync with fellow forklift drivers to maintain steady plant-floor flow, including clear communication during shift changeovers.
• Locate and inventory materials on the floor; deliver materials to lines according to production tickets and adapt to line-up changes during the shift.
• Prep units on the line when needed (e.g., cut bands; remove top/bottom sheets).
• Keep equipment in working order: lubricate the truck, recharge batteries, refuel or replace liquefied gas tanks, and use an air hose to blow out the lift regularly (ideally daily).
• Use on-board computers to record location, quantity, and other details for materials and finished goods, including scanning location-to-location and location-to-production line.
• Stack and organize board and off-fall; keep walkways clear; assist with dunnage, broken skids, and housekeeping throughout the plant.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Ability to read and interpret documents; draft routine reports/correspondence ; communicate clearly.
• Math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide across units of measure.
• Comfort using a tape measure accurately.
• Computer literacy, including familiarity with RPM and PDE Manufacturing software.
• Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing setting; printing or similar industry experience preferred.
• Proficiencies: Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse operations, Material Handling, Forklift operation.

Physical demands and environment

You’ll regularly stand, use your hands and arms, and walk frequently. At times you’ll sit, climb/balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate in a noisy setting. You’ll frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds and will also regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Vision needs include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Expect exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, extreme heat/cold, and vibration; the noise level is moderately loud.
