Conrad Orlando sits on the 1100-acre Evermore Orlando Resort bordering Walt Disney World with a 20-acre tropical beach and 8-acre lagoon setting the stage for luxury which is as harmonious as it is captivating. The stunning resort will feature 433 rooms (to include 51 impeccably designed suites and 10 spacious family suites), 65000 square feet of meeting space (40000 indoor and 25000 outdoor), a tranquil spa, two 18-hole golf courses and 6 food and beverage outlets. The Senior Sales Manager serves as the hotel representative to prospective clients and accounts in the West Coast market who are looking to contract group rooms, meeting space, food and beverage service, etc. Responds to sales inquiries, initiates new sales prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients, entertains clients, conducts site visits and answers questions, determines rates, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, services accounts and analyzes lost business for the hotel/s. Develops sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals. Works with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers. The sales office in a hotel is a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and is a true launching pad for those who aspire to grow their careers in hospitality. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Research, solicit and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue streams to meet and exceed lead generation goals. Represent the hotel in the development of market segment(s) and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relations with assigned accounts. Consistently strives to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams. Develop a business strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture the maximum amount of lead revenue to meet and exceed sales goals. Travel to the West Coast several times per year for interactive sales calls and tradeshows representing Conrad Orlando as an integral part of our commercial team. This role requires strong sales communication and networking skills. The ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and then apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate and secure new revenue for the hotel. Customer and Account Management Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the Hotel. Develop and execute plans to engage in outside sales calls, industry tradeshows and customer events. Develop, execute and communicate a monthly, quarterly and annual business plan for a designated market. Maintain up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities that will meet the short and long-term business objectives for the designated market. Represent hotel in all interactions dealing with their customers relative to sales, including creating business proposals and executing contracts. Conduct site inspections through masterful storytelling with prospective and existing customers based on their individual needs. Coordinate customer specifications (including room, food and beverage and meeting space requirements) via identified lead management system. Enter and maintain pertinent account and booking information in Delphi FDC in accordance with defined standards. Prospecting Research, solicit and generate new leads for business opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue and meeting and exceeding lead generation goals. Create and execute plan to shift share from your competitors. Engage in outside sales activities to uncover needs, build relationships and win new business. Negotiations Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end-user customers and intermediaries. Provide solutions that both achieve and protect the financial goals of the hotel while strengthening relationships with customers. Engage Hilton Worldwide Sales and Hilton Legal to support the contracting process when needed. What are we looking for? Now - We operate with a sense of urgency and discipline The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Excellent communication skills in all aspects: verbal, written and nonverbal. 3-5 years experience in a comparable position in a Luxury hotel operation. Possess excellent organizational and administrative skills. Quality driven with a passion for excellence in guest service and satisfaction. Approachable, open minded and fair. Willingness and capacity to learn and apply new systems. Proficient in OnQ and Delphi.fdc. Previous experience managing and/or coordinating the sales process, preferably for a Luxury property. Capability to use Excel to generate and interpret data reports on business volume from sales territory and individual sales progress reports. Capability to use PowerPoint beyond required presentation skills and proactively create compelling up to date presentations for the sales team and other hotel departments to use in operations.
