Job Responsibilities

• Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Evaluate patient needs and devise individualized therapy strategies to help them reach their functional aspirations.
• Implement Therapeutic Approaches: Apply evidence-based practices to improve patient mobility, cognitive functioning, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Work hand-in-hand with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care.
• Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance to patients and their families on therapy practices to facilitate continued progress outside of sessions.
• Observe and Document Progress: Monitor treatment effectiveness and make adjustments to ensure patients achieve their goals.

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Ongoing education and postgraduate certifications are encouraged and supported.

Required Certifications

• Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required.
