Prepare units for coating by performing surface prep, including cleaning, masking, and final inspection prior to paint application Perform painting operations within a paint booth using an HVLP pressure pot system Apply epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat in accordance with specifications and work instructions Mix and handle two-part coatings, primarily Amercoat 450H, ensuring proper ratios and application techniques Monitor coating thickness, finish quality, and cure requirements to meet quality standards Perform touch-ups and rework as needed to ensure a finished, defect-free product Maintain paint booth equipment, spray systems, and work area to ensure safe and efficient operation Adhere to printed work instruction manuals and all quality procedures Observe and practice safety procedures and policies, including proper use of PPE when handling coatings and solvents Participate in department safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and occasional crawling Frequent heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, and material handling Ability to work in a paint booth environment with proper protective equipment The ability to work overtime and some Saturdays as needed Your Experience Should Be… Your Education Should Be… High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience Your Professional Experience Should Be… Previous industrial painting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience applying two-part epoxy and polyurethane coatings Familiarity with HVLP pressure pot spray systems strongly preferred Previous experience in a shop, manufacturing, or fabrication environment Our Benefits Package… Medical, dental and vision insurance Employer contributions to an HSA account Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage Basic life insurance with the option to purchase supplemental individual, spouse and dependent child coverage Up to two weeks of parental pay 401k retirement savings plan including a company match Chart Industries is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicants because of his or her race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, military status, marital status, genetic information or any other reason prohibited by law.
