Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Experience with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) - BIPAP management - Stable GTT management - Post-operative care for CABG, AVR, and MVR - Cardiovascular and vascular experience - Aneurysm repair and lobectomy experience - Carotid endarterectomy (CEA) - Experience with NSTEMI and STEMI - Knowledge of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) - Experience with pacemakers - Sepsis management - Gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) - Post-DKA management - Respiratory failure management - Tracheostomy care Description: The role involves caring for patients in a step-down unit. The unit is a 30-bed facility. Nurses will float between critical care service lines. Candidates should have experience with the mentioned conditions and procedures. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are essential. Teamwork and effective communication are vital to patient care. Nurses must be able to provide comprehensive nursing care. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment.
