Job Order # 57561Branch: 51TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Receiving Clerk in North side of Houston, 77038 area!A Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the intake of goods into a warehouse, distribution center, or retail facility, ensuring that deliveries are accurate, complete, and properly stored.ResponsibilitiesReceive and inspect deliveries: Unload shipments from trucks or delivery vehicles, verify quantities, and inspect goods for damage or defectsVerify documentation: Compare purchase orders, invoices, and packing lists to ensure items match the orderUpdate inventory: Record received items in inventory management systems, maintaining accurate stock levelsMaintain records: File and organize receiving documents such as packing slips, delivery receipts, and logsCommunicate issues: Notify purchasing, management, or vendors about shortages, overages, or problemsOperate equipment: Use material handling tools like pallet jacks, hand trucks, and possibly forkliftsQualificationsEducation: High school diploma or GEDExperience: Prior warehouse or receiving experience preferred; on-the-job training provided for new hiresSkills:Strong organizational and attention-to-detail abilitiesProficiency with inventory management or warehouse management softwareBasic computer skills and data entryPhysical stamina to lift and move heavy itemsUnderstanding of warehouse safety regulationsCertifications: Forklift certification may be required or preferredWHO IS TMD STAFFING?TMD Staffing is a trusted provider of staffing and recruiting services in Texas and Maryland for over 25 years.
