Paramedic

The Paramedic provides direct patient care within the scope of their license or under physician supervision, following established rules, regulations, and protocols. Responsibilities include administering emergency medications, performing thorough patient assessments, establishing care priorities, and documenting treatments accurately. The Paramedic also ensures ambulances and stations are maintained and ready for service, assists with medical treatment in other departments as requested, and manages time, personnel, and resources effectively to meet department goals. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within scope of license or under physician supervision.
• Administer emergency medications according to state regulations and protocols.
• Perform complete, population-specific patient assessments and establish care priorities.
• Document patient assessments and treatments accurately using the WATRS reporting system.
• Maintain, clean, and stock ambulances and stations to ensure readiness for service.
• Assist with medical treatment of patients in other hospital departments under provider and RN direction as within scope of practice.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time, personnel, and resources to meet departmental goals and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current Paramedic license valid in the State of Wyoming.
• Knowledge of emergency medication administration and patient care protocols.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and establish care priorities.
• Proficient in accurate documentation using electronic reporting systems.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with medical providers and nursing staff.

• Experience in ambulance or emergency medical services.
• Familiarity with hospital-based patient care assistance.
• Additional certifications related to emergency medical care.

• Must comply with Wyoming State Scope of Practice and protocols for Paramedics.
• May be required to assist in multiple hospital departments under supervision.
• Responsible for maintaining ambulance readiness and station cleanliness.

• Work schedule and shifts as determined by department needs; may include varied hours to ensure ambulance and emergency coverage.
