Tooling Services Supervisor (Dept 761)

Overview Milwaukee Valve Company, established in 1901, designs and manufactures industrial valves for a variety of sectors, including Industrial, Commercial, Fire Protection, Marine, and dry bulk hauling. Milwaukee Valve Company is seeking a Tooling Services Supervisor to manage the Tool Room and Tool Crib staff at its Prairie Du Sac, WI facility (Department 761). Responsibilities Recruit, select, orient, and train Tool Room and Tool Crib staff. Ensure staff performance through coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraisal; conduct training and enforce policies and procedures. Schedule, assign, and monitor work requests; gather resources and maintain productivity standards; serve as point of contact for visitors and requests so tool room employees can continue work uninterrupted. Provide quality service to internal and external customers by enforcing quality and customer service standards. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering staff to improve tool and fixture designs plant-wide and recommend improvements for tool fixtures and equipment used in the tool room. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by establishing and enforcing standards and adhering to legal regulations. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training, tool shows, and reviewing technical and professional publications. Train Tool Crib and Tool Room team members on crib procedures, tool handling, safety, and SAP systems. Identify and lead initiatives to improve tool availability, reduce downtime, and optimize costs. Drive standardization of tool storage, naming conventions, and crib processes. Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies in all tool handling and storage practices.
