Engineering Technical Lead - Connected Sensor Products
We’re supporting a confidential client seeking an experienced Engineering Technical Lead to help drive the development of connected, sensor-based products used in transportation refrigeration and telematics systems.
This is a direct-hire opportunity for an engineer who enjoys leading technical execution across product architecture, component selection, integration, validation, supplier collaboration, and new product development.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical execution for digital sensor product development programs
- Support system architecture, design decisions, and component selection
- Drive engineering work aligned to quality, delivery, cost, performance, and safety targets
- Lead integration, verification, and validation of sensor systems
- Present technical recommendations in design reviews and project gate reviews
- Collaborate with suppliers and partners on externally designed systems and components
- Use engineering judgment and root cause analysis to solve complex technical challenges
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience leading technical aspects of product design, validation testing, and root cause analysis
- Experience with several of the following: sensor-based product development, systems engineering, product architecture, requirements management, IV&V, supplier collaboration, NPD, and cross-functional engineering leadership
- Strong communication skills and ability to drive technical decisions
Preferred Experience
- Electronic, embedded, or connected products
- Environmental, temperature, pressure, vibration, telematics, GPS, or related sensor technologies
- Technical leadership from concept through launch
- Regulated or highly validated product environments
This is a strong fit for someone with a systems-thinking mindset who can evaluate tradeoffs, integrate hardware/software/firmware components, and lead cross-functional teams through complex product development.
