Veterinary Technician (Surgery / Anesthesia) – Day Shift

Compensation

• Hourly Pay: $23–$28/hr (based on credentials and anesthesia/surgical experience)
• Sign‑On Bonus: $2,500

About You

You’re a veterinary technician who takes pride in patient safety, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical care. You value teamwork, clear communication, and having your technical skills respected and utilized. Your success matters to your patients—and to us.

Required Experience & Skills

• Required: Minimum 1 year of anesthesia experience in specialty setting or 5+ years in GP setting 
• Emergency or specialty hospital background
• Credentials: CVT/LVT/RVT preferred, not required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to multitask in a fast‑paced surgical environment
• Professional, positive, and reliable demeanor
• Veterinary anesthesia
• Surgical nursing
• Patient recovery
• Specialty veterinary care

What You’ll Do

• Support veterinarians during surgical procedures in accordance with Florida practice act
• Monitor anesthesia and provide peri‑operative patient care
• Assist with patient admission, preparation, and recovery
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and medications
• Keep treatment and surgical areas clean, sterile, and organized
• Mentor and support fellow technicians when needed
