USED CAR MANAGER Department : Sales Reports to: General Sales Manager Job Summary : The Used Car Manager oversees the used car inventory, acquires used vehicles for the dealership and establishes pricing based on market conditions and dealership goals. Salary Range: $72,000 to $120,000 Benefits: The following benefit programs are available to eligible employees: Major Medical Insurance Dental Insurance PTO Holidays 401K Life Insurance STD & LTD Disability Vehicle Purchase Plans Parts & Employee Labor Discounts Core Responsibilities: Maintain used car inventory; manage physical and online inventory Meet monthly forecast for used car sales volume sustaining sufficient gross to meet profit objectives. Appraise all incoming used vehicles; ensure that cosmetic and mechanical reconditioning is performed within the dealership’s cost and time limitations Keep informed of auto auction activity and prices; attend auctions on a regular basis Establish processes and controls wholesaling activities Enhance customer satisfaction during the entire purchase experience Communicate daily with sales management team regarding anything relevant to used car targets and inventory Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail automotive sale Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: 2+ years of Automotive Sales Management experience (USED CAR MANAGEMENT PREFERRED) Ability to work independently and be self-motivated Knowledge of the local market and auctions Excellent customer service and communication skills Professional appearance and work ethic Ability to work well in a process driven environment Clean driver’s license and must be insurable through liability insurance company Physical Demands Must be able to remain in stationary position 80% Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions Universal Responsibilities Adhere to the Rochester Motor Cars mission, vision and values in all situations.
