Spanish Collections Associate

Job Summary The Bread Collections Associate will assist customers who are behind on payments, helping them to become current. Contact customers professionally and respectfully to discuss payment options and create manageable repayment plans. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential to work with customers to find solutions that benefit everyone. Additionally, you\'ll play a vital role in maintaining accurate records and adhering to all relevant regulations. Essential Job Functions Professionally contact customers via phone to arrange account updates and resolve outstanding balances. Adhere to internal policies and procedures to ensure a positive customer experience and compliance with FDCPA and state regulations. - (40%) Demonstrate exceptional empathy and communication skills to build rapport and navigate challenging customer interactions. Collaborate with customers utilizing strong communication and analytical skills to develop realistic and manageable solutions for bringing accounts current. - (30%) Investigate, research, and track consumer information using skip tracing tools, adhering to data privacy regulations. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all customer interactions, account activity, and collection efforts. Ensure 100% data integrity in CRM system documentation for all customer interactions. - (20%) Proactively identify opportunities to streamline collection processes and enhance team efficiency. Communicate improvement ideas and collaborate with the team to implement positive changes. - (10%) Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1+ years experience in collections, call center, or sales Preferred Qualifications If the role is listed as “Bilingual,” must be able to pass a bilingual assessment (English/Spanish). 2+ years experience in collections, call center, or sales Skills Auto Dialer Call Center Customer Service Debt Collections First-Party Collections Problem Solving Reports To Supervisor and above Direct Reports 0 Work Environment Call Center environment. Pay Range $ - $ This job is eligible for a 10%/hr premium for hours worked between 5pm-6am and all weekend hours (given specific requirements are met). Full-time hourly associates receive a bi-annual grant of Paid Time Off (PTO) in each January and July based on their service date and scheduled hours, whereas newly hired full time hourly associates in their first year of employment receive a prorated PTO grant on their 61st day of employment based on the month of hire and scheduled hours. Associates will receive a payout of any unused PTO, up to 40 hours, paid out in the next calendar year (except associates in Alaska, California, Colorado, Montana and Nebraska who are paid for all unused PTO). Additionally, hourly associates (except those in California) generally receive 72 hours of Paid Sick Leave Plus (PSL+) per calendar year, with a pro-rated grant in the associate’s first year of employment to the extent allowed by applicable law. If additional PSL+ is required in a particular jurisdiction, the company will comply with applicable law. Unused PSL+ does not carry over from one calendar year to the next unless required by applicable law. Instead of PSL+, hourly associates in California receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year.
