Developmental Disabilities Support Provider
Hookstown, PA 15050 Position Type Contract - 14 weeks Up to $16.60/hour Requirements
A current and valid driver's license is required for community-based homes.
Related experience is helpful.
A verifiable high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Description An employee in this class is responsible for the specialized care of individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Work involves providing individualized care under professional direction, activities of daily living, including proper maintenance of living units, and guiding individuals in individualized program plans and leisure activities. Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the close supervision of a higher-level supervisor, who reviews results through daily observation of activities in progress, individuals' responsiveness, inspection of quarters, reports, and periodic conferences. Staff will be required to follow a designated shift routine as outlined by the supervisor.
We are looking for caring, compassionate, and energetic DSPs to provide supportive living to individuals in assisting them in daily living and personal care services. Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day tasks
- Transport and accompany individuals to doctor appointments or community outings.
- Administer simple prescribed medications (if certified)
- Assist individuals with personal care.
- Log individuals provided services
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
- 4 male clients (ambulatory)
*As an Independent Contractor, there are no benefits or Paid Time Off provided. The compensation will be deposited directly into your account
