General Manager

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for driving the overall success of the dispensary, inspiring the team to achieve operational excellence while upholding the companys mission, vision, and values. This role oversees every aspect of store performance, including profitability, financial outcomes, and adapting to evolving business trends. This role requires availability to include nights, weekends and holidays.

The GM plays a key role in building and leading a high-performing team through attracting, onboarding, and developing top talent. By fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and continuous improvement, this position ensures the dispensary delivers both strong results and an exceptional customer experience.

Flexibility is required, as this position includes nights, weekends, and varying shifts to meet the needs of the business.

What Youll Do:

• Inspire your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, driving sales and consistently surpassing key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Build a high-performing, diverse team by attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent while setting clear goals and expectations.
• Coach and mentor your PCA s (Personal Care Associates), equipping them with the skills and confidence to excel in their roles and deliver outstanding results.
• Address any performance or operational issues promptly, providing coaching and guidance to team members to foster growth and ensure alignment with company standards.
• Cultivate growth and development within your team by providing training, mentorship, and leveraging individual strengths to unlock potential.
• Optimize productivity through accurate payroll forecasting, ensuring alignment with sales goals and efficient workload management.
• Take ownership of profit and loss (P&L), strategically driving revenue growth, streamlining operations, and addressing underperformance with innovative solutions.
• Stay ahead of market trends, sharing insights with senior leadership to shape strategies and achieve impactful results.
• Uphold operational excellence by delegating effectively, reinforcing brand standards, and ensuring flawless execution of company initiatives.
• Foster accountability and urgency within the team, responding swiftly to changes in the retail environment and keeping operations agile.
• Safeguard company assets by enforcing compliance with safety standards, inventory controls, and loss prevention policies, while adhering to all regulations.
• Proactively manage inventory by analyzing trends, maintaining ideal stock levels, and streamlining ordering processes to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain/submit reporting as required
• Be open to occasional travel (10% - 25%) to support company initiatives or training needs.
• Embrace new challenges and responsibilities as needed to support business goals and team success.

• 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in retail management.
• Proven ability to drive sales and consistently exceed performance goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams with a focus on talent development, mentorship, and succession planning.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Open to giving and receiving feedback, and skilled at managing change and fostering adaptability.
• Demonstrated success in overseeing store operations, including visual merchandising, financial management, and loss prevention.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with state regulations.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise team members, making critical decisions regarding hiring, termination, performance evaluations, and professional development. Youll be responsible for building a high-performing team that consistently meets and exceeds business goals.
