Our office is located in the Flatiron District of NYC and we are in office Monday- Wednesday each week, remote on Thursdays and Fridays. 

About The Role 

Earthbound is hiring a Manager, Talent Acquisition & HR to serve as a hands-on partner to the VP of HR and Infrastructure. The role has two clear areas of ownership.

First, recruitment . This person is the primary recruiter for all below-Director hiring — across every business line, and across both our New York office and our Bentonville, Arkansas team. 

Second, HR generalist ownership for our New York–based below-Director population — approximately 30 employees. This person is the day-to-day HR point of contact for that group and owns the accountabilities named below, partnering with our Bentonville-based HR Associate to keep the employee experience and policy application consistent across both locations.

This is a high-visibility seat for someone who is already strong at full-cycle recruiting and wants to build real HR generalist depth — with meaningful autonomy and direct exposure to senior leadership.

Specific Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition 

• Serve as primary recruiter for all below-Director openings across Licensing, Home & Apparel Design, Product Development, Creative Services, and corporate functions — spanning both our New York office and our Bentonville, Arkansas team.
• Partner with the VP on Director-level and above searches — owning sourcing, screening, and candidate management as deliberate preparation for owning these searches over time.
• Work directly with hiring managers and act as their primary liaison and partner through the full search 
• Source passive candidates directly, including via LinkedIn Recruiter and industry networks, reducing reliance on outside agency fees.
• Screen resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and manage interview scheduling, candidate communication, and pipeline tracking in BambooHR.
  
• Draft and extend offer letters and coordinate offer negotiation logistics.
• Manage the internship recruiting cycle end to end, including offer administration.
• Exercise judgment on when to bring the VP into a search — for search strategy, senior-level interviews, or a difficult close.

HR Generalist Ownership — New York Below-Director Population

• Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR, policy, and benefits questions for this population.
• Own onboarding end to end for all new hires in this group
  
• Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and reporting in BambooHR.
• Partner with the VP on employee relations matters, with clear escalation on anything sensitive or carrying risk.
• Support offboarding, including exit conversations and documentation.
• Work with external payroll and benefits partners as needed

Broader HR Exposure

• Support HR initiatives across all business lines — employee communications, engagement, policy documentation, and process improvement.
• Partner with the VP on culture and employee events.
• Partner closely with our Bentonville-based HR Associate to ensure consistent policy application, onboarding quality, and employee experience across both offices.

Role Requirements

• 4–6 years of HR experience including substantial, hands-on full-cycle recruiting ownership 
• Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates directly; fluency with LinkedIn Recruiter or comparable tools.
• Comfort recruiting into markets outside New York. 
• Experience serving as the primary recruiting point of contact for hiring managers, with the confidence to manage them as partners rather than take orders.
• A track record of getting credible quickly in unfamiliar functions.
• Some HR generalist exposure and a clear appetite to deepen it — this role is deliberately designed to broaden.
• Sound judgment and discretion: a reliable instinct for what to handle independently and what to escalate, and when.
• Highly organized and self-directed, comfortable owning process without daily oversight.
• HRIS experience; BambooHR a plus.
• Interest in design, product, or brand-driven businesses is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Salary Range $90,000-$110,000
