What You Will Do: TheSeniorSupplierQualityEngineerManagerwillleadandoverseetheSupplierQualityEngineeringfunctionwithinanAS9100Dcertifiedaerospaceorganization,ensuringthatallsupplierprocesses,materials,andproductsmeetthehigheststandardsofquality,compliance,andperformance. Thisroleiscriticaltoestablishingandmaintainingrobustsupplierpartnerships,drivingcontinuousimprovementinitiatives,andensuringtheseamlessintegrationofsuppliercomponentsintoaerospaceprograms. KeyResponsibilities StrategicSupplierQualityLeadership: LeadateamofSupplierQualityEngineers,managingactivitiesacrossmultiplesupplierstoensurecompliancewithAS9100D,FAA,andcustomer-specificrequirements. SupplierQualification&Audits: Conductandoverseesupplierassessments,audits,andqualificationactivitiestoensurealignmentwithorganizationalqualityexpectations,regulatorystandards,andaerospaceindustrybestpractices. ProblemSolving&CorrectiveActions: Leadrootcauseanalysis,problemresolution,andcorrective/preventiveactions(CAPA)forsupplier-relatedqualityissues,ensuringtimelyandeffectiveresolution. ContinuousImprovement: Developandimplementsupplierperformancemetrics,KPIs,andimprovementplanstoenhancereliability,cost-effectiveness,anddeliveryperformancewhilereducingnon-conformancerates. Cross-FunctionalCollaboration: Partnerwithdesign,manufacturing,procurement,andprogrammanagementteamstoidentifyrisks,mitigatesupplierqualityissues,andsupportsuccessfulprogramdeliveries. Documentation&Compliance: Ensuresupplierdocumentation,inspectionrecords,andqualityreportsmeetAS9100D,internalpolicies,andcustomerrequirements. Training&Development: Mentoranddevelopahigh-performingSupplierQualityEngineeringteam,fosteringacultureofquality,accountability,andinnovation. PreferredQualifications Bachelor’sdegreeinEngineering,Aerospace,Mechanical,orrelatedtechnicalfield;Master’spreferred. Experienced in supplier quality engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably in aerospace. StrongknowledgeofAS9100D andaerospacequalitystandards. Provenexperiencewithsupplieraudits,supplierdevelopment,riskmanagement,andproblem-solvingmethodologiessuchas8D,FMEA,androotcauseanalysis. Excellentleadership,interpersonal,andcommunicationskills. Proficiencyinqualitymanagementsystems(QMS)andERPsoftware. ExperiencewithLean,SixSigma,orsimilarcontinuousimprovementmethodologies. CertificationsuchasCertifiedQualityEngineer(CQE)orSupplierQualityProfessional(SQP). Experienceincomplexaerospaceprogramsorhigh-mix,high-volumemanufacturingenvironments. KeyCompetencies Leadershipandteamdevelopment Analyticalthinkingandstrategicproblem-solving Strongattentiontodetailandprocessdiscipline Effectivestakeholdercommunicationandnegotiationskills Proactiveriskidentificationandmitigation WorkEnvironment Thisroleprimarilyoperatesinanofficeenvironmentbutwillrequireonsitevisitstosuppliersforaudits,inspections,andperformanceevaluations. Travel:Approximately20-30%,dependingonsupplierlocationsandprojectneeds. Salary Range : Please note the typical hiring range is $149,000 - $201,000 annually.
